• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The Canadian health care system is very abysmal. The government sits on billions in reserve money instead of trying to help their citizens.
I like that we have the option for MAiD/euthanasia and that it will hopefully soon expand for mental health issues too but to be backed into a corner and feel basically forced to choose it because the government will not give you the resources you need to survive is despicable. I also think this is where the majority of the stigma lies with MAiD - they see cases like this and apply it to everyone else who wants MAiD as an option.

As someone with chronic health conditions that cause me constant physical pain and the government not giving me the resources i need to improve my quality of life/wait lists being absurdly long i can empathize with her decision.

I just envy those who can get legalised assisted suicide in the first place, I think they are fortunate, it's not even available at all in my country, instead people are just expected to suffer endlessly.

the people who are given the option and choose assisted suicide because they want it, i agree are fortunate. those who are backed into it as their only option and want to live i view it as a tragedy that could be prevented if the government was more competent.

I recall the filmed a documentery for her. I didn't get a chance to watch it as it was taken down. If this is the same old lady that is. And a lot of people were enraged by it, saying she could have lived if the government had given her porper resources. Which is okay to say imo, since access to resources can solve a lot of problems. However, as the idiots that they are the mob decided to attack the people who performed euthanisia...while they should be harrassing the government.
