ok so i was scrolling fb and there was a picture.
theres a butterfly, and a snail.
the butterfly says "hello, im a butterfly"
and the snail says "hello caterpillar. you are a caterpillar"
i might be over thinking this. and if i am maybe there is another/"better" way to represent it??
is it really just as basic as the snail not accepting the "caterpillars" new exterior form??
because i thought that this is who you were from birth, not something you changed into.
but something you either need to feel comfortable to be or say "f it. this is me, and im proud of it." but not something you change into the way a caterpillar would literally change into a butterfly.
unless theyre referencing the surgery, but even then, isnt who you are deeper than that? the outside matching how you feel is certainly nice, no denying that (and not as someone that cant even figure out who they feel like....) but even if it doesnt because you cant afford it or your not accepted, its deeper than that because youre still worthy, your heart still matters.
anyway, yeah, i saw that and got curious and knew there was a bit of a community here so i thought maybe someone could enlighten me on their perspective. or tell me that i am just over thinking it and it just means acceptance.
