It doesn't make any sense, that drug is so rare and expensive, I don't get how in the name of God they got addicted, or who provide them the drug

Maybe they ment to another drug?

It must still exist in the US in pill form if you can buy "nembies". Looks like it is still around, probably used mostly in hospital settings only and maybe rare, severe insomnia cases though it looks like they are careful not to prescribe over 2 weeks worth - not a lethal dose. I had bad insomnia once and they were trying some crazy stuff on me because nothing worked. Literally not a minute of sleep in TEN DAYS.

In the old Burroughs book, junky, he talks about how they would just go out and buy nembutal from the store. They'd take it when they couldn't get anything better. I'd imagine if you were somehow prescribed it as a sleeping pill, or for some neurological condition, you could get addicted. I bet people in mexico get addicted to it.

That's probably means that there is local dillers who sells that in much normal price (I guess I'm wrong but I'm not see other options)
