Oxygen deprivation being things like hanging, inert gas, and SN.
Edit: title is supposed to say that "can people who die from oxygen deprivation be organ donors?"
Pretty sure they can't because their organ tissues will be damaged due to lack of oxygen, also the fact that organ donations work within a specific time frame, unless you have a transplant team waiting right outside your room, the chances of your organs being viable are slim to none.
Heart and lungs typically have harsh criteria for transplantation.. the donor shouldn't be a heavy smoker, drinker, not obese, shouldn't carry any genetic disease that might affect the functioning of the organs and should match to the receipient which is quite hard in itself.
So long story short, I don't think oxygen deprived organs are suitable for transplantation
