Can I taste Sodium Nitrite?

My 100g SN package have arrived. I have also managed to get the anti-emetics. But currently I am not going to ctb because of my strong SI. However, cracking point can arrive anytime soon. Just curious can I taste the SN by the tip of my finger? Will a very small amount cause any harm?

Maybe a couple of grains on the tongue. Don't drink any in water, though (not even 1mg in water) - you'll get a fast heartbeat and then throw-up a few hours later!

That's the point. It is nasty, and effect full if used correctly.

I guess if you are not in the developed countries like US, UK etc., you will die even if you drink SN in hospital because in many countries, methylene blue is not easily and readily available.
