Of course you can. But be aware it would reduce the probability of success. In other words, it will increase the probability of failure, consistent with the recent calamitous trend of more and more SN failures simply due to people rejecting recommended protocols for obscure reasons.

I've also been wondering if Benzos are necessary for it. For some reason Stan's Guide seems to completely miss this item under the 'How important are these medications?' section.

benzos are more to prevent suffering but not necessary. meto seems to be pretty vital and beta blockers slow the heart a bit more. from past experience i will definitely be taking beta blockers the rapid heart rate feels so bad

I believe the most important things are (1) fasting at least 8 hours before drinking the poison, (2) having an anti-emetic, (3) lying on your right side immediately to speed up ingestion and subsequently reduce the risk of vomiting.

is there a likelihood of failure if not following instructions? i know suffering is increased without certain meds but as long as i dont throw up or get found I should be okay

yes,
on the cheap and availibility, OTC painkillers are cheap and easy. Prochlorperazine (As an anti-emetic) is cheap and OTC. it's listed in PPH
and Stan's thread. Probably not the strongest but will help

I thought that had to be prescribed. I'm in the US. Am I mistaken?

I thought if you couldn't get any of the prescribed meds then as long as you had a second glass prepared and had that right away after you were sick, then that would be ok?
I didn't think any of the other meds were necessary in terms of success rate? More for making yourself as comfortable as possible? Maybe I am mistaken though?

Throwing up after the first glass worries me as I wonder how on earth you then manage to drink the second glass right away and if that is then vomited back up?

This is my biggest fear: vomiting and not getting the second one to stay down

Exactly! As from what I've read, you don't just vomit once and thats it. It is repeated vomiting, and somewhere between that you take the second glass and then what if you vomit again? Take a 3rd? 4th? It does concern me.

This is what also fear me. Vomiting and failure to ctb. I can only prepare 2 shot of sn with no ae, I only have benadryl. I don't want to fail because I know people will only think I am doing it for their attention after of my failed 2 ctb attempts.

Prochlorperazine is prescription in the US. You can't get it OTC. Also, my understanding was that it actually may be a stronger anti-emetic but has more chance of extrapyramidal effects and that's why it's not the first line recommendation.

I went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me ondandsetron, I should have asked for metoclopramide but I didn't want to raise suspicion, perhaps I should have. I'm wondering if I can still manage to get the deed done with ondandsetron and nexium (antacid).

Is 2 glasses enough? As I know you vomit multiple times after the first glass, but what if the same happens after the second? I know that is why ae are recommended but in some cases we just cannot get the correct ones. I have such a bag gag reflex and I know I will struggle drinking it down, but gotta do what you gotta do.
