I'm pretty close to doing it, but I have questions about how to secure the rope on an elevated ladder

That sounds unstable, how will you keep the ladder from moving?

That perspective got me, I thought I was looking down. What secures the ladder so it doesn't drop down? I would personally set up closer to where the hinges are where it pivots so that there's less force trying to swing it down

It used to be a moving ladder with buttons to go up and down, so it has these metal pulleys securing the sides. I'm pretty confident it can support my weight (65kg). I should cut the rope if I wanted to do the chair thing, right? I was thinking of trying partially suspended but I don't want to have problems with the SI. The rope is like 8 metrs/25 feet.

Maybe be sure to grab it and wiggle on it kind of hard to get a little more reassurance it seems stable.

If the rope it 25 feet, I would cut it whether doing partial or full just for ease of use. Full is very lethal if your knots are secured properly, the anchor is solid, and there's no way for you to get purchase or grab the ladder above you. As long as you aren't interrupted and have double checked your setup, youll very likely die

Already check, and im 98% it wont fell off.
You know the kind of knot i need to use in the other end of the rope? The anckor i mean. I already have my slipknot knot ready in one end.

And to be honest it could be possible to grab the ladder if the SI kicks in, but im hope i can get trough the SI. But i dont want to think much about it. I wont take too long to do it, cuz you know SI can screw me.

Bowline for the anchor point. Are you planning to commit tonight?

Probably Friday morning while everyone in the house is out. I even have an app to send scheduled messages, because there are people I don't want to find me first. I'm going to eat, smoke something, indiscreetly say goodbye to a couple of friends and get to it. Thank you very much for your help, I have been struggling for years and lately I have had too much physical pain due to a chronic illness that I developed. Maybe I'll make a farewell post, but I don't think I'm important enough to do it on the forum

I'm sorry you're suffering and I hope you can find what you're looking for 🫂

For what it's worth, I think you'd be completely valid in making a post, but that's your choice 💟

Do you have your last meal planned? You said you'd eat so I wasn't sure. What are your favorite foods?
