Help Can i combine 2 thin ropes for a thicker one ?

I can't find a rope that is more than 5mm wide, i'm wondering if i could get away with combining 2 of the 5mm, almost like it's a one 10mm rope, for full suspension, do u think it would work ?

It could work but it also will hurt when skin is between the 2 ropes

Yes. Just fold it in half. That gives you a nice self centering loop at one end. Pass the loose ends through it to make a noose.
