Camera in the aisle

I'm quite curious, is it normal for a special camera to be placed along the aisles of where the ropes are located?

I was browsing around casually shopping for ropes to accessorise my neck with cause I heard it's in fashion lately when suddenly I spotted a tiny little camera that the store had placed right above where the ropes were, right at the top of the shelf just a foot or so above head level. I was pretty surprised to find a special camera there instead of the usual 'all the way above the ceiling' security cameras, so I went along each aisle to see if there were similar cameras like the ones near the ropes, but found that only the rope aisle had the special camera.

Do lots of people go around stealing rope or something? Lol.

Usually those low-height cameras are placed in sections with high amounts of shoplifting.
