Help Buying SN

I am planning to buy SN this month. However, I am worried that it is illegal to own in my country and that it will be held at customs and that i will get into trouble. I have tried googling whether it is legal in my country but all I can find are incomprehensible legal articles. Any advice on how I could find out?
