Could it be possible to use and open a butane bottle in a closed garden shelter to CTC with success ? Would it be painless and quiet ? How much time could it take to reach unconsciousness and death ? We can read that people often die opening a butane bottle into their car but of course it's a bad idea, it's dangerous because of the big risk of explosion. It's why I think to a closed garden shelter where there is no electricity and no source of flame at all. Your opinion and knowledges about that, please ?

Anyone to answer my questions ?

I wonder why nobody talks about the mix butane/propane actually... Isn't it efficient in a closed place where there is no flame at all and no risk of explosion ?

It is a widely used method, we often hear cases of people found dead. Yet no one here has ever answered this question.

Do you know more about it ? Painless or terrifying hallucinations and movements before fallibg into unconsciousness ? And headache with nauseas or not ? Would be intestested to know. Thank you.
Merci.
If it's painless, it would be an easy way to CTB, and efficient if you stay alone enough time, and without complicated things to organize. So far easier than the big organization that CO or other inert gas need (exit bag, build all the system with pressure regulator, etc). Why nobody seems ready to answer about butane/propane method ? It's strange, isn't it ?

This is a report from prison medical examiners where inmates are being killed by inhaling gas from cooking stoves.

"They do it with gas and always at night. They approach the stove cylinder and sniff and sniff until the torpor takes them away. In their jargon it is the "little snow", liquid butane and propane, it no longer reaches the brain oxygen, a bit of euphoria and then the poisoning. They leave without a cry. The next morning they find them motionless on the mattress, as if they were still in a deep sleep "accidents", however, sometimes the reports go so far as to diagnose a "death due to overdose". The prison administration prefers to bury them like this: addicts in withdrawal. They always show some aversion to acknowledging those deaths. They are too uncomfortable. And too many. In Italian prisons there is a suicide every five days. People die of despair in prisons. And contrary to what might seem reasonable, we also die early."

Why "liquid" butane and propane ? When they snif, they snif butane/propane in their gaseous state, not liquid... ???

Butane, is an alkane hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C4H10, is a colorless gas and easily liquefied at moderate pressure. At room temperature it appears as a gas, but can be compressed into a clear liquid, increasing its storage and transportation efficiency. Both gases in the cylinder are under pressure and as I specified: "They can be made liquid under modest pressures: butane under a pressure of 1.5 bar at 20°C. propane under a pressure of 8 bar at 20°C "

This is the story of a woman who, after writing a long biography of her life, lay in her bed with the cylinder open and waited for a peaceful death with her head resting on the pillow.
A long letter, then suicide with gas S. PIETRO VERNOTIC -

S. PIETRO VERNOTIC - Perhaps it took her all night to write that long letter in which she narrated her life and the greatest disappointments that had extinguished her desire to be in the world. Then she went into the kitchen. He disconnected the gas cylinder that powered it and took it into the bedroom. He opened the valve and rested his head on the pillow, waiting for sleep to come and erase the bad thoughts. This is how a 59-year-old woman from San Pietro Vernotico died because she decided to do so. Lucida, until the end, unfortunately did not allow herself to be diverted by any second thoughts. It was her daughter who noticed her sad end, when there was nothing left to do. This morning the woman had called her mother on the cell phone, but had not received an answer.

I hope it's a peaceful death. A few hours ago I tried to find more details about use of butane/propane and I saw that this mix is sometimes used just as other drugs, not to die, but it can cause strong hallucinations that can be awful and make users become crazy or violent. Other papers say that it just drives to death, suddenly (cardiac effect), and they don't mention hallucinations at all.
What do you think, as you seem to know the subject so far better than me ? If it's peaceful and painless, I don't understand why it's not the first choice (better than the CO method) of many people who want to CTB, as it's very easy and not expensive to have a bottle of butane/propane and let it opened near your head in a place where there is no flame and no risk of explosion.

For the same reason we avoid the topic of hydrogen sulfide and many others. Respectability. ps: sometimes gas is used in small quantities to have a slight euphoria. This is not the case for those who use it to commit suicide.

And what is this reason ?? Sorry, I don't understand. Hydrogen sulfur is irritating, it burns, that's not the case with propane and butane or I'm wrong ?

At high concentrations, loss of consciousness is immediate and death in 3-4 minutes. You don't feel anything.

but is not dangerous to others?
These are risks you run when you force people to live. However, the state can quickly remedy this by distributing Nembutal for free and without a prescription. Everything is solvable, you just need to want it.

@Intoxicated
Loss of consciousness immediately and deathe in 3 or 4 minutes, you mean with mix propane/butane or only with sulfur hydrogen ?
If someone use the mix propane/butane in a house or a building, I supose yes it could be dangerous for other people but to avood that, my idea was in a tent, outdoor, the same as with CO method (not less dangerous and very documented here).

With H2S that, is easy to obtain compared to CO. With LPG at high concentrations they say that the loss of consciousness is equally immediate and death in a few minutes almost like H2S.

OK, merci. Au fait, à propos de ceux qui utilisent du propane/butane dans leur cellule in prison, how is it possible that it's not dangerous for other inmates or cause explosion ?

huh? if it's can directly endanger other people. better to do it away from people.. no one should get injured because we want to die. your response is odd. the state isn't gonna do anything. ever.

For my part, it's why I said outdoor, in an isolated place, in a tent, with a note written on the tent for example (like for CO). But the more I read papers about propane/butane, the more I see this method seems to be not sure/easy as it was 20 or 30 years ago.

Well, you can decide the methods of your suicide, not those of others. Each person who commits suicide decides for himself. If it were as you say there wouldn't be so many murders/suicides. There are those who use LPG in a safe way and those who are angry at the world for the lack of peaceful suicide and take revenge. Even thieves shouldn't steal, yet they steal. I believe that it is enough to open the free sale of Nembutal to everyone to avoid methods such as trains, jumping, hanging in the woods. All traumatizing things.

I'm not suggesting you ctb, but if you really want a method. The butane can be combined with drowning. A deodorant spray can also be used, inhaled through a towel and then breath held, you'll get dizzy. You go into the water and you'll drown with no pain. SI will be insane tho.

Also, DON'T do any trials unless you really want to die. Doing this too often could cause brain damage over time. And if you inhale too close you might freeze your tissues cause the gas will be released very cold.
