Discussion Buried or cremated?

Ideally my body would just get tossed into a marsh where I would be eaten by critters and the rest of me would decompose into the ground. Since that isn't an option, I think i'd have to go with cremation (after my organs are donated) with the ashes scattered someplace outside. I'm claustrophobic, so the idea of being stuck inside a box is scary, even if I'd be dead, lol. Also cremation would be cheaper for my family.

What do you all prefer?

If it wasn't for the whole rotting smell thing I'd say just chuck me in a skip. The cost of funerals etc is a bloody racket. So burn me and scatter me over a high cliff

Cremated. I have a lot of reasons why I wish for this. Mostly because my father did it also and to save my mother from a financial burden. Also it saves space, it cuts to the chase of complete body decomposition, and it would finally erase 'me' and be no more so I could be finally be nothing. Better to burn out than fade away even in death.

Definitely cremated, I can't stand the idea of a rotting corpse/skeleton. It really grosses me out.

I'm gonna dig my own grave plot a sign next to it that says, "bury me", die in it and hope for some good samaritan to do the rest.

I plan on being buried naturally (no embalming) in a biodegradable shroud so my body should decompose pretty quickly. I love skeleton/memento mori art, so the sooner my body is turned into a skeleton, the better.
