The bridge in my city has these metal suicide barriers that are metal fence that curve inward at the top. Wondering if anyone has advice on how to climb over them & ctb. Any advice appreciated.
Here is a picture. I don't drive so I think bringing a ladder with me would not be possible. Looks impossible to climb over. I am thinking this is probably not a option for me now.
If you have a strong upper body you should be able to climb over that. Not sure if the bridge is tall enough though. Here is a picture. I don't drive so I think bringing a ladder with me would not be possible. Looks impossible to climb over. I am thinking this is probably not a option for me now.
not over water...I googled & it says 48m, is that high enough?
They put suicide fences on the George Washington Bridge in New York/New Jersey last year after a number of people who've jumpedI'm surprised the New River Gorge Bridge doesn't have barriers. Gotta hurry or they will probably have them put up at some point.
Agreed. That's my plan if I ever do it, since I only live about an hour and a half or so from the bridge.I'm surprised the New River Gorge Bridge doesn't have barriers. Gotta hurry or they will probably have them put up at some point.
Wow I live like an hour from it. Small word. You're in the same state as me! The second person I know who's from WV on SS.Agreed. That's my plan if I ever do it, since I only live about an hour and a half or so from the bridge.
I think you're the first for me! How cool.Wow I live like an hour from it. Small word. You're in the same state as me! The second person I know who's from WV on SS.
Country roadsWest Virginia... it's almost heaven..
There was one more person from WV that I talked to but she hasn't been on in awhile. WV has one of the highest depression rates in America.I think you're the first for me! How cool.

Oh, also a girl one of my friends was close with hung herself last year. That was interesting because I got to see how my high school handled suicide, and I'm not really disappointed, but I'm also not happy with it. They waited a few days and made an announcement and had a moment of silence and then collected cards for the family. Kind of anticlimactic. I just hope that poor girl is at peace now. Her mom and friends were a wreck.Hm.
Yeah, I'm not surprised. It sucks here. My best friend almost killed herself 2 years ago and most of my friends have some form of either depression, anxiety, or both, and I don't think I've gone one day at my high school without hearing one kid complain about wanting to die and being serious. Even my sister, who is literally 11 years old, is a depressed mess. One of her friends cuts and she knows someone her age that killed themselves recently. It's a whole mess here, huh.
I would also imagine they have cameras. You could do the iconic golden gate bridge if you can afford afford the tickets.
Noooooo, *airline* tickets! :DYou have to buy an actual ticket to catch the bus at the golden gate? How poetic..
