Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

So I've landed on my exit and for a moment I was overwhelmed with joy. But the deeper into "getting things together" to make it easier for loved ones, I'm back to debilitating depression. I'm still going through with it so my question is how do you deal with the pain from the thoughts of hurting your loved ones? And is there anything y'all are doing to try and ease their pain?

TIA

Welcome. Glad you've found a bit of joy again, hopefully more joyful moments can be found.

When I tried CTB, I somehow didn't even think of that (nor about the risks of interruption, but I stopped the attempt after discovering the skipped steps lead to it being useless).

I'm also wondering what can be done to ease the pain for people here, eg what types of therapy and support help, what types to be careful about, etc.

Tho one can describe their situation and users (me and others), can try and assist where we can.

Honestly I don't think there's much you can do about this. If people care about you then leaving is going to hurt them. I'm thinking of writing a very lengthy note for my family to explain why I made the choice I did. It won't take the pain away but it might answer some of their questions and give them some closure🙏
