My psychiatrists advised me that meditation and mindfulness were two key elements for managing my symptoms and were essential for an improved quality of life.

I find mindfulness more easy and more enjoyable.

Through trial and error with my therapist I found body scan to be the most easy to practice form of meditation for myself. Here is a video on it.

Anyone can try and benefit from meditation. I've had many mental health professionals recommend it to me.

I used to to that. it was the only exercise on the CD I had that I could manage due to physical limitations at the time. I'm not sure how helpful it was for me. I think I just liked hearing the soothing voice. Annoyingly, I couldn't last until the end because if I stayed immobile too long I suffered from blood pooling in my hands:/ (and yes, that meant for sleep too).
