this week i had to do a blood test in the clinic. they put the needle in my left hand and started to take it out. i think 0.5L of my blood is needed for the test. i felt very calm (although we all hate needles) and just talked with the nurse about her job, it took like a minute.
then, about 30s after she finished i felt like my head is about to turn off (for like 2 seconds), and then boom-sleeping. i passed out in the clinic!
then they all came and helped her to lift me back to the chair, they lifted my legs so blood could reach the brain and so on...
but this case made me to think about this method of bleeding to death by connecting to a needle and just pumping out much blood until you die!
what do you think about this idea??

If you don't have medical experience in IV'ing yourself, then you'll need medical assistance.

I think this will be a good method but you'll feel very lightheaded throughout the whole thing and it'll take a while to actually kill you.

i don't think it's so hard to learn, IV'ing yourself. you will need something like a pumper or a vacuum to keep the exit of blood while you are unconscious. the feeling of losing blood is not so bad and definitely not worse than the nausea caused by SN or any other lethal substances...

I've actually thought about the same, taking a needle and syringe with no plunger in it and hooking it into a vein (super easy for me I'm skinny with very visible veins and have experience making blood vial necklaces) and just watching the blood pump out of the syringe into the bathtub until I pass out

That is true, I would actually take a class on how to IV (if such a thing exists) if I was considering this method.

And that is true, i'd rather feel my blood disappearing than the nausea I experienced while attempting SN, it was terrible …

I've thought about my plan of cutting the veins in my arms at some point in the future, but I would simply use liquor and ice as anaesthetics, and a razor blade as the cutting tool. I don't know if I'll ever have the endurance to carry through on it, but it's a good B plan for me. I don't see why one would use a needle instead. Imo it only increases survival rate, which wouldn't be my goal in that situation, obviously.

Apologies if this is a silly question, but how would the blood pump out of the syringe, is it really simple as just sticking the needle into the vein? Also which vein would be best to use. Seems like it could work though, maybe you could use multiple needles too?

I'm no expert and I don't actually know if it would work but I assume a giant open hole in your vein would be pretty easy to bleed out of especially if you use a larger gauge needle like a 18 or 16 and I personally would use the main vein right in the bend of my arm because that's what I have experience with and I also donate plasma twice a week so I have some decent scars there to show me exactly where to aim for

This actually seems like it'd work although may take a long time to bleed out,. If I knew it worked for sure I'd definitely go for that as a method. Thanks for reply.
