I have been through prozac and buspar and it wasn't helping. I'm currently on Lamotrigine at 300 dosage and I feel it isn't working anymore.

I've been debating asking for Lithium but I don't know what it entails. I'm just curious what's been working for everyone else.

I'm also in dire need of ADHD medication and would love any recommendations. If this helps in have rhe sorts adhd where I get too overwhelmed to even start on anything or move.

Any tips at all are appreciated

lithium worked really well for me (bp1) but it can have some pretty big side effects and has a risk of making u really sick or long term health risks so make sure ur doctors are really onto it with monitoring ur blood tests

I'm bipolar and I've been on lithium (with maximum dosage in France) for a few months. I didn't get any side effects yet. I've also been on xeroquel and antidepressants for 3 years

Any medicine works different for any person. I can tell you from my experience that abilify helped with the mood swings, lithium helped feeling less depressed. For the ADHD I can recommend you concerta (Methylphenidat). the only side effect is that you eventually get a faster pulse and possible harder to sleep. Just find the right dosage and take it early enough so that you are able to sleep at night. I never combined them tho, so talk with your doctor or therapist that is the best for you.

I already have insomnia so that's just a win

You make it sound horrible. I've been taking lithium since 1998. My thyroid works slower which could be because of the lithium, but it runs in the family, so... I gained some weight and sometimes have a sleight tremor in my fingers.

@ OP

Your blood needs to be checked regularly. To see if your blood levels are within the therapeutic parameters (between 0,60 and 1,20 mmol/L). And to check if there are any negative effects on your thyroid/kidneys.

The amount you take doesn't really matter; it's your blood levels that are important.
