Hello everyone,

According to my research, I have compiled a list of different CTB methods for myself in attached table.
I am torn between hanging and charcoal induced asphyxiation. While CO induced asphyxiation appears to be a rather peaceful method, it is quite complicated to carry out. Any advice is much appreciated!

I'm not familiar with the exacts regarding the co method. But I agree it is quite tedious to acquire the needed materials.

You listed that hanging will require a strong ligature. Have you considered partial hanging? Do your own research of course. But I settled for sn or partial hanging. I got sn and meto luckily, so I'll probably go with sn. Partial was my go to for a while though. However, I felt like I was suffocating from partial, even if I didn't block the windpipe at all. It felt like I wasn't getting enough oxygen into my lungs even though I could breathe fine. Most people don't have this problem though. It's just a few others and me. So it shouldn't happen to you. Full suspension is more painful and requires a very strong ligature and rope. The only pro is that it's easy and you can't back out(at least most likely you can't).

In theory, I'd prefer co or the exit bag if I couldn't get sn. However, like you said, it's a ******* pain in the ass to get everything together. So for simplicity's sake, I'd personally go with partial, even taking co or exit bag into consideration.

I really hope you aren't rushing Into anything. Feel free to chat with us if you need emotional support... preferably your family or friends first. Just know that we don't judge here.

Best wishes dude.

Regarding SN, antiemmetic can be obtained in some online pharmacies.

Regarding CO2 I don't think it's that complicated. But if you're "rescued" you can end in worse shape. I don't know if it's completely reliable.

In the US, unfortunately one needs prescription for dopamine blockers which I cannot acquire. Yup there is a certain level of risk involved if I botch any of the aforementioned methods ofc.

Thanks for the detailed response. I will delve a little more deeper into partial. Unfortunately, I do not have the support necessary (support for ligature that is) to even try partial in my house. I tried using my bedroom door, and the rope prevents the door from shutting. I am afraid due to suffocation induced thrashing, the rope might slip off of the door. I would just as soon not to take any chances.

I figured if I drink half a bottle of whiskey I wouldn't care much about the pain cause by full suspension, but that is just my speculation.
Thanks for offering emotional support, but I am well past that. Just trying to figure out the optimal method for myself and I will CTB as soon as possible (probably once the shut-down ends)
