What if i just tie a belt around my neck really tight, without hanging or anything? would this be enough to kill myself?

It could work, but it depend of a lot of factors: the resistance of the belt, the size, the lenght...

It must be strong enough to hold you. You should be able to put it above your Adam's apple.

A rope is better, if you can buy one, I recommend it instead of using a belt but it could work too anyway.

Depends on the size etc but you be better of using a rope
