I want to end my life but my religion is holding me back. Some of you here have probably been christan at one point in your life and know that mental health isn't really taken seriously or talked about in christianity. Mental health issues are usually attributed to "demons" and "evil spirits" and your mom or dad would take you to your local pastor to have the demon "rebuked" or whatever. Of course, nothing changes and you are still left with those same issues which will ruin you in the long run (I hope u guys understand what I'm saying) Point I'm trying to make is that mental health isn't taken seriously in this religion even though in the bible, jesus's followers had their ups and downs mentally (a tiny bit) I obviously want to die but idk whether suicide is wrong or not. It's not really clear in the bible just like a lot of other things. I feel very dissatisfied with my life. Nothing to look forward to everyday. It's a chore waking up. I never asked to be born and I want to leave this mundane life behind. Is it a sin? Certainly god wouldn't mind that I want to "return home" right? If I were atheist, it would be so much better. What should I do in this type of situation? Cus I really don't know😥💔

The Bible doesn't clearly use the word "suicide," but it does teach that life is given by God and shouldn't be taken (Exodus 20:13, Psalm 139:13–16).
At the same time, people in the Bible felt so low that they wanted to die. Elijah said, "It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life" (1 Kings 19:4). Job said he wished he was never born (Job 3:11). David wrote, "Why are you cast down, O my soul?" (Psalm 42:11). God didn't reject them—He cared for them and stayed with them.
The Bible also says: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). And, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).So it's not something God wants, but He also doesn't hate you or turn away from you for feeling this way. I don't know you or all of your pain but you're not alone in this, and you matter.

For one, many christian groups take mental health seriously! When I was in catholic school, my mental health counselor was a religious brother. It sounds like your family is from a charismatic sect or something similar? This is not the only expression of Christianity.
I am not Christian, but I am a practicing Jew, so there is some overlap. G-d would certainly not want you to commit suicide. You are right that you didn't choose to be born, but you were created for a reason, which the Bible does say. The commandment given to Moses that we should not kill also applies to ourselves. So it would be a sin to go against your purpose and end your life, but you shouldn't feel bad for feeling suicidal.
I do think G-d has mercy on people who commit suicide though. I like to think that they died of an illness, and that their suffering is alieviated after they die.
I think you should read psalm 88 if you have the time, it's one of my favorites

I'll ask god for help. If no help then I'll CTB. For me it's easy.
