Help Bass string for hanging?

I have a .230 gauge bass string and is the only thing I have on hand. Is this enough for partial hanging

I just thought cause they can withstand like 60lbs and you only need 5-10 lbs for partial

its 46" total length, I think thats good enough

No that's just total string length. The scale of the bass is 34" but the taper for the tuner is absurdly long for no reason

You'll just hurt yourself... bass strings aren't made for the amount of pressure hanging calls for.

I thought psh only needed 10-15lbs of force. Bass strings of this thickness easily can handle 50 - 70

Ohhh it's a big bass, my bad. But chances are it's not going to be big enough to hit your carotid arteries ...
