Discussion Back in time or suicide?

If you had a choice would you rather go back in time to whenever you want and do things different or choose suicide anyway?
Feel free to to tell why you chose your answer and write about what age you'd go back to and what you would do different.

Me: i'd choose to go back in time, as far as i can get, 17 sounds sweet to me. I would go after the dreams i had back then and set the right and normal path for my life.

I would say suicide. I feel that as long as I am alive. I can't escape the suffering that life has for me.
I thought about how if I have changed the past and live a better life, maybe I won't have feared that someday when I get older illness or dementia, it will force me to commit suicide. But that seems impossible to me because being able to change the past means I have some memory of the future which means there is no way I can change my thoughts of life.

What happened

Suicide, definitely. I was depressed as a kid, and as bad as I am right now, i'd rather be me right now than a kid. Most depressed people speak about their 'happy childhood', I hated my childhood, I had a decent upbringing but I was so severely depressed as a child that nothing felt quite right. I came from a working class background, so not typically privileged, but we had enough money to get by. My parents tried their best but my depression was just too prominent to enjoy childhood.

I would still choose suicide since if I went back in time and changed a few variables, then many other variables (interdependent of other variables) may make life worse in other ways. Also, in the long term, I'd still suffer from illnesses, diseases, and other negatives in life, which means death is still inevitable. Therefore, cutting it short wouldn't be such a bad idea for me in life.

Back to the moment of my birth. It would freak everyone out if a newly born baby started talking.
Or, more seriously, first day of kindergarten. Not only could I use a break and just play like a kid, but I'd like to redo my social development.
