I recall Wikipedia saying it was his wrist and I generally trust Wikipedia. Still I'm not actually sure. But in terms of suicide by exsanguination (blood loss, I learned that word from Avicii's Wiki page!) it's not something I could ever do and i have no idea how he managed it or how you will either. Still I respect it and wish you the best.

Avicii must have been pissed af because that's the only way I can see someone taking that route to end their life in such a brutal fashion. shame on those around him that couldn't see that the man was obviously breaking down not only physically but mentally as well.

I didn't actually know that's how he died. That's interesting. Stabbing yourself in the neck sounds like a horrible way to go, honestly. I briefly considered it but realised that it was the desperation talking. I calmly talked myself out of it and ordered SN. I would say that stabbing yourself in the neck would be incredibly hard to go through with. Drugs or alcohol might help, but seriously. I'd rather die peacefully than die bleeding to death in horrendous pain.

It makes sense he committed suicide in a state of extreme anxiety, he mentioned in an interview that he would get extremely anxious and nervous before a show started, probably couldn't handle it anymore and decided to end it all. I've been living with extreme anxiety for over a decade now, so I can completely understand how it happened.

Avicii was probably angry at the people in his life also. Knowing or finding out that someone you knew died in such a way is mentally scaring. More than if they would have died by simply taking sn or hanging themselves. It's kinda like saying 'why should I care about myself when no one else does.' I know this because I once wanted to go the whole mutilation ctb route.

It's strange because if he knew those situations caused him extreme anxiety, why didn't he just retire, move to Hawaii, and spend his days relaxing and working on his mindset.

He had enough money for it.

Try to avoid high stress situations and the like.
