The average person will probably never complete the act. I think about 1 million die from suicide a year, in a world of 8 billion.
But if we are strictly talking about all those who successfully took their lives, my guess would be around 8 years.

It depends on whether the individual is privledged enough to be able to reliably cease existing on their own terms in the first place. It's so unacceptable and tragic how there isn't the option to easily die in peace without risks and complications, I'd fear trying to die potentially going wrong and leading to way worse suffering.Similar threads
