Help Avatar size and how to load?

Hello forum people
Just a quick 2 questions regards avatars
What size do they have to be?
How do you load one?

I tried before but missed it somehow.

click your user title in the top bar at the right and then mouse over your avatar image and you'll see 'edit' then do that and it supports pretty big sizes and auto resizes and asks you to drag center it

I don't think the size is actually a thing. I am using an image right now that is 653x 684 of size.
I think if you go to your account settings, there was a button to change the avatar. It should be easy.
