I will soon be moving back to australia ....
And i am so angry at the fact that they introduced those stupid social media bans..... and while it "bans kids" thats total BS.... it affects adults and bans them aswell.
I mean the stupid AI they use there now literally gets peoples ages wrong. You could be 19 - 25 and get accidentally flagged as under 16.... and it happens ALL the time. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE FACE RECOGNITION AGE CHECK FAILS? When the AI face check fails....you CANNOT redo it. They then demand a picture with you holding an ID that literally looks like a prison mugshot...
Heres why this is a BIG problem to the peoples privacy and freedom:
1. This will ruin alt accounts
(we all know how corrupt certain social media is and how trying to appeal for an AI banning you almost never gets solved)
So this means that if you mess up once....you are done forever
2. They will use this to stalk all of your information. While yes people use vpns and other things such as tor to stay anonymous, most people are aware that if the law wants to dig deeper that they will eventually find out everything you do, but this makes it SOOO much easier for the law to have all your info and jokes, memes and sarcastic "confessions" right infront of them, available, and easy to use against you.
3. "Just use a vpn" well guess what.... they are planning and trying to ban those aswell so soon thats not gonna work if they pass those laws.
4. This will eliminate humor:
You will NOT be able to post jokes or memes or use any freedom of speech anymore in AU and UK....because most of the law and government are all old karens who take everything you joke or say on the internet as "super serious criminal buisness"
For instance: there is a type of humor/ dark humor where you say you did something bad or something bad happened and your not serious but you act serious as a joke.... because of these bans you will HAVE to be careful with this "non serious, serious" kind of humor....because everything will be stalked which = they will use everything against you without understanding context or inside jokes or humor.
Long story short: they will def use inside jokes and dark humor against you
5. This DOES NOT protect the kids......these BS governments are trying to hide the fact they wanna control us for their gain like the rats they are but instead make it seem like ---> "were doing social media bans 16+ to protect the kiddos"
LOL no TF their not..... the government wants to control everyone online. If you really think this is protecting kids heres why you are incorrect:
A) why would they make the age for social media 16 when thats THE SAME age your allowed to drive in australia? I mean come on....seriously?! Driving is considered the same age range as scrolling on tik tok or youtube?
B) its not social medias fault, imagine blaming it on social media, it should be the parents responsibility to protect their damn kids from weirdos rather than blaming discord, tik tok, youtube etc...
6. The only reason these obviously corrput laws even were passed through is because the government banked off of old people who dont understand the internet as well and hence blindly agree with the whole
"yeah social media sucks good thing they banned that crap" Narrative....
it makes the old people who dont understand how social media works band together to "feel safer" like a bunch of blind sheep, which is why there even was enough people agreeing to pass these laws in the first place.
SO LONG STORY SHORT: these laws wouldnt even exist if it wasnt for manipulating the uninformed older people and parents to rally together and agree for this whole social media ban.
7. If you are reading this from a different country well this also applies to YOU because there is a HIGH chance that your country, yes your country might actually implement these same BS control laws aswell.
Heres an example:
The US also is considering making these bans made to clearly stalk and control
Poland is already going through with it and near the end of 2026 or start of 2027 is planning to implement the same BS
So dont be suprised if all the other countries notice how well this works at controlling peoppe and also decide to implement the same laws.

To further prove that this social media ban flags adults and forces everyone to be linked online permanently forever by their ID And not just kids:
---> people have literally already passed the face AI age estimation that requires you to either:
A. Open and close your mouth
B. Tilt head left and right
PEOPLE HAVE PASSED THE AGE FACE GUESS by LITERALLY using a video game character..... YES i am not joking...
Theres tons of videos online of people passing discord and tik tok age AI guessers by showing the camera a video recorded of a video game character tilting their head.
SO NO WONDER that the AI constantly gets adults ages wrong and flags them as kids to ban them from social media unless they link their ID ....when that same AI literally is so stupid that it falls for video game characters.
Honestly my take? I genuinely think that in AU and UK they made all these AI facial recognitions be super trash and ineffective at guessing age on ALL major social media platforms ON PURPOSE.... so they can make up a legal excuse to force every single person to have their ID linked and easy to track all of their activity....
The slimy government is trying to hide it as "protecting kids from social media" but in reality they want an excuse to control everyone very strictly... and btw you cant live without social media....its literally a part of life nowadays.
If they ban VPN's (they already plan to) it will literally be so obvious how much they wanna control us.
I literally brought up so many points that destroy and expose this BS.
Only the older non tech savy / parents fall for the whole "this protects the kids" narrative
