I read the story of Aurelia Brouwers on the Internet. She was not the moment of euthanasia was 29 years old. I also want to end my life with euthanasia when I save up money. I will be 34 years old at this moment (I am now 24 years old). But I have no diagnosis. Pegasos replied that I was too young and redirected to the psychological telephone support service. Although the Pegasos website says that they do not accept applications from people under 18 years old. What to do? I have the right to die. I do not want to end my life by suicide.
Sorry for the bad english.

I had a "chat" with ADMD & Life Circle recently. Without a terminal or "certified" mental illness, the age limit to be accepted for begnin multi-pathology related to old age is set at 85. In practice, there are debuting accounts of "tired of life" candidates nearer to 70yo whose case is accommodated to fit with the law

(very witty woman)

At any age in between, you'd have to prove that your mental suffering has been unbearable and persistant, accompagnied of formal traces aka "medical record" of diagnosis, failed treatments (the fact you exhausted all hope of healing), and psychiatric validation (to attest you have the mental discernment to take the decision). There's no other possibility.

There are several threads about Pegasos on the forum. @AcornUnderground could probably give you the most concrete guidance precisions.

Hi Moon, I hear what your saying. I personally looked into this option like a year ago and could probably get accepted with time and effort but I decided against it for various different reasons. There is way too much red tape for one i I see these organizations for exploiting the suffering people who want to die peacefully for profit. There probably is some compassion involved but overall i don't like the model. There is no reason for it to cost ten thousand dollars to die. Pagasos looks a little better than some of the others but I still don't like it. I personally will have to do it myself. I also shouldn't have to travel around the world and spend ten thousand dollars like I said to just die.
There is another liberal doctor who it seems easier to go through to get this done in Belgium but still would require probably living in Belgium for a while after submitting all paperwork etc. like I said I was going to go this route but abandoned it for various different reasons. I do like the fact that he emailed me back and was willing to hear my case. Whatever you need up deciding on I hope it works out.

I know that Dignitas has a very structured process to go through to be approved for mental illness. It's exhaustive and tedious. Pegasos is filling a niche, an unmet need of those seeking Voluntary Assisted Suicide (VAD) shout enduring all the red tape and process, as well as more English speaking staff. However - because this is the niche - they are less likely to review young people with mental illness because that requires the exhaustive review that Dignitas offers. Also, a a new organization, they do not need the kickback of helping "young and disturbed " people end their lives before every other option was exhausted. In short, Pegasos is more apt to focus on physical ailments and older age whereas if you can't provide all documentation of years of failed mental intervention, try Dignitas. That is my uneducated two cents!

I think I have heard of the one you are talking about. Yes right. She is a like a psychiatrist if I remember right.i can't remeber her name right off but I know the one your talking about . But yes the one I am talking about is a man. i think they might work together though. He has been doing this for a long time. I did some extensive research and got his email online and got a hold of him. like I said I was surprised I got a response but It was brief though. I didn't end up sending the paperwork in and following up because I decide not to go this route and I am going to do it myself. But yes he is a he. Lol

I respect very much your opinion on the industrial aspect of assisted-suicide microcosm. At the same time, it remains strict business. Recently, one of these practicioners got into trouble ...for her tad too loose support at a 60yo tagged mentally ill. Arrived at this age, you're still not automatically granted your own freedom even in Switzerland, but have to keep pushing walls.
