• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I've lost nearly everything and I've come to the conclusion it's best for me to ctb. I know I'll be making my family and remaining friend miserable but I can't keep living through this hell just to keep them smiling. I messed up too bad and my mind is no longer reliable.

My method will be carbon monoxide poisoning myself in my car with briquettes.

My car is my last symbol of freedom, and I wish to be free.

Thank you all, I've lurked here for a while and I hope one day we can all be happier. Not happy, but happier.

I think there's an afterlife, but only if humanity creates it. If I figure out how to link a thread(?) / comment (?) I'll place my basic summary of the idea here. Or I'll just type it up again in the replies.
Technological Revivalism - If humanity survives and keeps this idea alive, at some point we would have the technology to bring everyone back. At that point, they should have the knowledge to properly rehabilitate all criminals and the wisdom to properly punish the worst of actions. Their medicine should be able to cure all illness, physical and mental. Humanity by this point can truly make up for their sins against nature, rebuilding the things we've destroyed and taking care of the planet and perhaps our galaxy and beyond.

Humanity has been lied to for so long, told that they will see their loved ones in heaven once again. This can only happen if humanity itself builds "heaven".

I don't think it'll be a utopia, but we won't be able to tell until we've lived around and integrated into that society.

I also don't think all people would exactly choose to be human by then either, thus angels and such running around.

I'm sure this idea is far from unique, but it gives me comfort and if I'm to follow it then I need to get the idea out of my head before I die.

Essentially I think that humanity will one day be capable of bringing everyone back and giving them the help and education they need.

One core goal of Technological Revivalism is to not let the idea die. So if I was to die without sharing it then I have already failed.

The core goals:
- Humanity must survive, in one form or another.

- The idea of "revive everyone" must survive.

- Humanity must progress. Faith in science and technology should not be lost.

- Knowledge and data should be preserved as much as possible.

Some ideals:
- Balance, while learning and progression is important, it's also important to breathe and relax. You should try to balance all things in life.

- Understanding, seek to understand things, especially your fellow human. I don't think there is an "original sin". There is no truly evil person, just broken minds, lack of self control, or a lack of understanding.

- Self, your sapience and consciousness is a grand thing. It deserves a physical form that represents it properly. This means a mind that doesn't torture itself because of chemical imbalances and a body that you feel is you.

- Ethics, society will have different opinions of what is right and wrong. This is a good thing. Ethics should be debated and followed when established. They should be revisited and tested as well. Progress is important but if it is not balanced it can turn to something horrible.

Only some thoughts, rambling, I gotta prepare for my attempt lmao. If anyone likes these ideas feel free to ponder them and write them down. I just hope posting about it here was enough... Maybe I can post about it on Reddit but idk where.
