Something is really freakin wrong, I know having low motivation is common for depression but this is just unreal. I cannot stay up for more than twenty minutes and even then I feel exhausted just getting out of bed, I don't even have the energy to ctb things are so bad. I have some work to do for my job but I am just completely unable to do anything at all. Even making a phone call seems like too much work, can anyone relate to this?!

peace/hugs

I go through this all the time. It takes all my energy just to fart, and then I'm ready to take a nap. Today I haven't really done alot but have been napping on and off all day. I have nothing left.

I can … so sorry for you. Even when I'm able to get out of bed, I want to go back to sleep a few hours later... sometimes sooner. :aw:
I have 0 energy. I know something is wrong. I don't know if it's just depression or something else. I don't want to mention it to the doctor. I don't want to set off any alarms so I won't be stopped from CTB. (If I ever get the courage)

Yes. I am so exhausted that even thinking about work, calling anyone at work-my whole body tenses up. I just dread life...all of it...but particular to work...I'm just tired of the office politics, human interaction, driving there, being there, working there...all of it....

Maybe get your thyroid checked just to make sure its not that?

I was very tired all the time too and went to the doctor for it. Turns out I had a brain tumor. Not saying you have one but there are underlying conditions!

I am not sure about a reason or not. I only sleep three hours a night and never am able to nap, this all stems from medical malpractice that nearly killed me a few years ago. After over five years of three hours of sleep a night I'm shocked that I have even worked never mind full time. Hope you are doing okay

Hi Nem. I can relate. It's difficult. Wake up and face another day. Pretending that you're Ok so no one asks any question and all that. It requires a lot of mental strenght to hide our real feelings too. I don't live alone so I have to pretend that I'm happy and active (doing things all the time, exercise, so no one at home suspects). With the isolation is more difficult because I'm not alone all the time. All this sucks. Must end
I don't even have strenght to charge my phone.

Are you on any medications?
Other than meds, it could be a variety of medical problems which are not 'psychological'.
Problem is, if you're already being treated for mental health, they may just blame that and brush you off.
Even though it's in every single doctor's training not to do that

yes i can relate. i have major depressive disorder and i can barely do anything. something simple as taking a shower requires alot of will and determination.

lack of sleep can make depression worst. are you taking benzo or zoplocone to help you sleep? do you have chronic pain which prevents you from sleeping?

Totally can relate. When theres no hope and everything is pointless, even the smallest task seems too much... Mornings are the worst but the rest of the day is not much better either!

I take a small amount of a med for sleep when needed...doesn't work though

Suffered nerve damage from the reaction I had and it has effected sleep since day 1. Meds don't do much for my sleep unfortunately

Despite all my chronic health problems I still put in a couple of days working a physical job. FOR COMPANY and to get out the house as my friend is my boss. It's little association with others, if I had to be in society no.

For some reason I can force myself to work physically but if it's a form that needs filling it's as if the walls are caving in. I have no motivation to do anything. Washing dishes, cleaning and hoovering are like a day's work. Decorating that's needed doing for nearly 3 years hasn't been done. To be honest this is cringe worthy so I hope you appreciate the honesty. If I'm downstairs and I need a pee I have a bucket not only because I do get episodes of extreme weakness with my health but even when I'm ok it's as going up the stairs stimulates my brain to think more depressive thoughts.

My patience listening to people on the phone is wearing thinner and thinner as when they're moaning about trivial crap I feel like weeping.

Was it a pituitary tumor by chance friend?
