Is there anyone who has had any positive results from Antidepressants in some kind of way?

In my case, they're only useful to relax when I go to bed. I sleep very well in comparison to some months ago.
However, during the day, I'm suicidal and think of death as usual.

I've been prescribed Fluoxetine and then venlafaxine both were useless. Diazepam and Alprazolam help me for a few months.

Only at the very beginning.
At the very start for a brief period they took the edge off things and did really help.
But over time the effectiveness wears off and they become almost , if not completely , useless.

I've tried them all, or most of them, there is a recent one. I can't say it's helping much. But I feel slightly better. Just slight.

I've had short term benefits of antidepressants but they've always worn off and I've ended up with more problems as a result of spending years on the medication. That said I know personally that antidepressants have helped my friends and given them a quality of life. I'm just not one of those people.

In general they have never really done anything for me. Maybe get a little more sleep at times and that is about it. I often think they made somethings worse for me. After years of use I really don't have much emotion left in me. I don't feel happy but I don't feel sad.

Taking Escitalopram help me a bit. It made me go back to my normal routine so i dont feel as miserable. I still wanted to ctb either way.

Prozac was a wonder drug for me - until it stopped working. Apparently this occurs with some regularity for patients who've taken Prozac for an extended period. After that I tried many other drugs for years with only mediocre effectiveness. Then a psychiatrist suggested I give Prozac another try. Again, it worked amazingly. I felt great for a couple years. Unfortunately, it stopped working again. The cycle continued and few years later I tried Prozac again but it didn't work. I've tried over 20 other antidepressants (and combinations of antidepressants and other psych meds) and nothing has ever come close to Prozac's effectiveness for me.

For the short time period that I tried them, they made me feel more numb to things, rather than to make me happier. In a way I was less sad. But then again I don't think I'm depressed.

Prozac was the first one I tried and it made my life significantly better, but after a while they stopped working and I had to change to a different one. I've been taking ad's for 27years and the best ones for me were citalopram. The worst were Mirtazipine, (horrendous weight gain, agitation and suicidal ideation) and I'm currently taking Duloxetine which I'm up and down with because much of my depression currently is circumstantial.
