Since losing my job I've been going to bed later and getting up later. My pattern is now go to bed about 5-6am and wake at about 1-2pm. Anyone else have a similar pattern?

Mine is going to sleep at 8 am and wake up at 13/14.
How do you feel after you wake up in that pattern?

During the summer i was going to bed at 6am and then waking at 3 or 4 pm.
First meal of the day was lunch...
After a time it starts to become very unpleasant, because everyone around the house is doing regular things like vaccum cleaning or cooking and you re trying to sleep.
Fortunately it only happens during my summers when i don't have university, but it happens every year.
If i start to work, for real, i won't that leisure anymore though.

I've always preferred to remain awake during the night, it's the only time when one can feel lonely, given that all other times there's people awake and around.

Personally, i effing hate daylight.

Absolutely! Ever since I got sick with awful pain my roles have been reversed. It's 5:00 a.m. now. I'll go to bed around 7 or 8. Then I'll sleep all day and wake up at 9 at night. Does that give you the depressing feeling it gives me? The depression has gotten so bad I'm in bed all day and don't want to get out. Then the fact that you know you're awake when the whole world is getting their rest is even more upsetting.

On exact point, I also fall asleep around 530am through 8am. And I'll get up sometimes a 1 or 2pm, when I'm lucky, sometimes I wake up with less than 3 hours of sleep, from 6am to 9am. The times differ some times. But yea, always fall asleep no earlier 530am, and wake up no later than 3pm

Yup, I think it makes my depression worse, not sure why I guess it's feeling apart from this world, but I felt that before the day/night reversal. Difficult to tell if it's a symptom or a cause.

I think it's just an awful cycle. We can't sleep at night because we are up in the day and we are up in the day because we can't sleep at night. Now last night I didn't sleep and I needed to take a little cocktail for pain but I can't sleep a lot today because I have to shower tonight. God I hate showering. It's such a pain in the ass. If I could snap my fingers and have one thing be done it would be showering and having my hair dried. That's the real bitch when you have hair as thick as mine. Well I know you didn't need to know all that. I hope you can try to reverse it. Maybe just take a two hour nap in the day so at night you'll still be tired. Benadryl makes you tired enough to sleep but I shouldn't be a pill pusher.
See I can't sleep unless I take a Xanax so I don't wake up at 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I wake up at night

As long as you are getting at least six hours of sleep I think it's okay, it might feel frustrating but no sleep would be much worse
Peace/hugs

I'm going to bed later than ever now as I'm just not tired enough to sleep. Horrible vicious circle.

Me too. I can't sleep. Honestly 0 sleep. I feel like a zombie. Have circles under your eyes to prove it.
Me too. I'm amazed I'm still alive. I'm amazed how's resilient the human body is.
