• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Serious question.

For those who have a comfortable life or are well-off, why do you wish to ctb?
One of the main reasons I wish to ctb is that it's so hard to make ends meet in life. Everyday is a struggle to be alive, having to work in a job that I hate, just to be paid minimum wage. Going hungry isn't uncommon either. I don't have the privilege of a well-off family who could help me jumpstart life, so I have to fight to survive. If I am able to make a decent living, life would have been much easier and I would less likely to want to ctb. I want to know, for those who are comfortable or well-off, why do you want to ctb?

For me most of it is all around the aspect of 24.7 chronic pain and my body progressively deteriorating. Having massive depression, BPD and everything else mental health wise just adds to it.

I just had another MRI done and now from the car crash, not only do I have the chronic pain to content with BUT now progressive arthritis in my backbone.

At almost 69, birthday on 03.12, I have enough money to live, not to go crazy with, but buy food, and shelter and it is my body that would be why I would ctb someday.

From what i've read here and some other places, reasons (excluding financial ones) are as follows:
-physical problems like chronic pain, disabilities, possible painful future due to cancer or other health issues.
-variety of mental disorders (mood swings, oversensitivity, self-hatred and other things, differently classified by different specialists)
-loneliness
-betrayal
-hopelessness
-fear of being burden one way or another.

For me (as i'm financially stable) it's deep self-hatred, being a life failure (according to my own standards, not someone else's) as a person, as a parent, as a partner and also last one from the list. I don't want to spend my "old days" immobile, shitting myself and not able to recognize my own surroundings.

Even if you had everything you ever wanted, greater peace and greater freedom is still found in nonexistence.
