It'll probably sound a little ridiculous on a site like this because investing is inherently an investment into your own life - and many of us kind of aren't... invested in our own life? I guess I'm not either, but I have a few positions open because it kind of amuses me and gives me something fun to watch online. I am interested in ETF's, NFTs, metaverse real estate, and crypto. I follow a few trusted analysts on Twitter/YT but I am definitely a dabbler. I refresh Coin Market Cap at least 10x a day (pathetic I know).

Anyone else into this kind of thing? I waste a lot of time reading about this stuff, mainly because the world is changing so rapidly and I find it fascinating. My coins might be worth something in a year, might be worth zero for all I know. Absolutely won't invest on Zuckerberg's metaverse though because the man obviously does not respect privacy rights at all.

Would love to talk shop with any other dabblers though.

Some projects I find interesting:
- Wilder World (a bit like Miami Vice meets GTA metaverse)
- Polygon/Matic (blue chip crypto coin that will scale up Ethereum)
- CryptoDrop (online crypto casino/metaverse)

I have some EFTs but I have no idea what I'm doing, despite the broker I use being quite accessible to newbies.

No, I lost 10€ trying to make a coinbase account. I never mentally recovered from that incident.

I spent 50 buying a cloned card and when I went to use it to buy games it was blocked immediately, when I went to complain to the seller he said I made the mistake and wouldn't give me another

stocks.

dont touch cryptos or NFT's.

find companies that have consistent repetitive daily patterns, then day trade them with leverage. $20 a day with as little as $100 investment.

My goal is to meet the market, not beat the market, so I mostly have index tracking ETFs: VOO (S&P 500), DIA (Dow Jones Industrial Average), ONEQ (NASDAQ Composite), and VTWO (Russell 2000). The rest is split among dividend-focused ETFs, water ETFs, Bitcoin (I had other crypto but nothing else compares imho), cannabis stocks, and US iBonds (they're paying 7% now).

You have to have serious balls to trade on leverage. Too mush risk for me. Probably sounds ironic considering I'm in an extremely risky asset class trading.

I know a dude who bought axie nft's early and is now renting them out for serious gains. I'm talking thousands.

Very nice picks, bro. Safe. I'm taking on a lot more risk because I don't think I have much time left on my side.

I think you'd be much better served on Reddit with this question. Have you checked out r/wallstreetbets? They're behind numerous meme stocks and cryptocurrencies that have soared in value

Yes, I actually check out that subreddit just about every day because I find the loss porn fascinating/entertaining. I don't have access to a stock trading account in this country b/c I'm not a permanent resident, but I'm sure I would probably follow the herd in that regard and get the same picks they all do on there e.g. AAPL, TSLA, BABA, etc. Also, someone just posted their $30k loss today on BABA. Gotta love that shit.

Absolutely. I have 20k in passive, low-cost, highly-diversified ETFs (VTI, VSTAX, etc.), another 10k in a 529 plan, and small amounts in a Roth IRA with the only income I was able to realize in 2020 (not much). I don't invest in active funds, single stocks, crypto, or bonds—though I wouldn't be opposed to. I use Betterment and I'm waiting until I can be taxed at the long-term tax rate to liquidate it all... and then buy the same ETFs again directly from Vanguard.

It is sweet to wake up and watch your investments go up, even if short-term fluctuations mean virtually nothing with index funds. I'll be ending this year with nearly 10% on all my accounts. I'm 19 so volatility isn't much of a concern for me. But yeah, passive index funds only. Nothing like NFTs or GME.

Just bumping for fun, I guess. My portfolio is down like 30%. I think I'm pretty bad at investing. I have bought at tops, paperhanded a couple times, and just generally was too rattled with the crashes in the last 8 months. Even fell for a pump and dump once. I'm kind of coming to terms with the fact that I'm not much of a trader. Still, 2022 should be a very interesting year for both stocks and cryptos.
