Maybe it sounds a bit strange or creepy to some, but in the last years I spent money on 3D printing. There are studios in my country that create small 10cm figures/sculptures based on photos below 500 euro. I've had a few made of people I found pretty or cool, or whose lives and bodies I wished I had, or who I would have liked as partners. The quality is ok, nothing special and no high-detail work for that prize. But now, in a way, I kind of own them.
My last crush was one of the worst experiences I've had. I had stroke-like symptoms from this horrible person, but I can imagine a better story for us, so her figure and all figures are a small source of joy in my life and belong to the 'what-could-have-been'.
In 2023 I also made from paper a black small origami dove. For me it's a jackdaw and also a symbol for my interrupted love and for a longing for something better and healing, than this life I experienced.
