Seborrheic dermatitits sucks I have it on face and look like a monster. It always comes back and there is no permanent cure. Anyone else dealing with that?

Ok so I think I've been dealing with this on my scalp for the last month and it's truly been one of the worst things I've dealt with because of the non stop itching + my hair falling out. It's hard to get an official diagnosis over telemed and can't see a dermatologist until July, but I seriously feel for you!
There's a subreddit I've followed though with a ton of advice if you haven't checked it out already!

I also have it on scalp but selenium sulfide shampoo clears it when it reoccurs. Shampoos are too harsh on face though so I use protopic there. I know r/sebderm there is even too much advice for me. So many cosmetics and skincare routines to try. Pretty overwhelming for someone with major depression. I have it since puberty so it is over 15 years already. Would love to have pernament cure. Sadly scientist don't work on it I think there is too much money to be made on treating symptoms.

Yes, it's one among many brutal issues I have. I find it mostly goes away if I go dairy free keto or on a carnivore diet. I don't like eating that way though. I lean out within a month eating that way and don't feel that great energy wise as it is hard to eat enough calories, especially if i'm working (construction). The condition comes back just as bad if you stop the diet, i've been on and off keto/carnivore diets for nearly a decade now.

Accutane also works although it left me with permanent dry eyes, which lead to blepharitis/ocular rosacea, I also have rosacea, folliculits and hair loss...

I've had skin issues for 20 years, if I had started with a lower carb, dairy free diet from day 1 i'd probably never have signed up here. At this point, nothing matters, i'll be suicidal until death, which may be a long time, considering i've already been suicidal daily for a decade now.

That is true there is an overwhelming amount of information on there. I've struggled with r/asianbeauty and r/skincareaddiction there's just so much information and I've bought so many products recommended that were actually useless for my skin type.

I think that was the shampoo I most recently tried as recommended by a doctor (who hasn't been able to actually see me in person) and it seems to not do anything but make my hair even more fragile :(

I didn't even know this was a thing until recently so I am so sorry you've dealt with it for so long. I hope you stumble across something someday that provides relief.

i've had this on my scalp for many years and it's maddening :aw:

i suspect the 'permanent cure' as with most ailments involves extreme dietary changes that are impossible to sustain, such as zero intake of long-chain polymers (read: caveman diet in 2020 when literally everything we buy is loaded with preservatives and artificial sweeteners anyway). yea fuk that, Dandrazol shampoo for me it is!
