Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

it seems like every single time i get romantic feelings for someone, eventually at some point something extremely minor (or nothing at all) happens and i just suddenly stop feeling anything for them, even getting uncomfortable when i interact with them. it happened again... i don't know why, it's so miserable. i heard it might be an avoidant attatchment style? i'm not familiar with how those work but i thought they mostly came about because of neglect/abuse as a child, and i didn't really have anything except for mental health issues in my childhood..

I've been through a few (most likely) intense limerent crushes on people. I used to feel embarassed to be around them. I was so afraid they would realise I liked them in that way and, feel disgusted. It was a weird combination of longing to be around them- on the one hand but then, feeling so uncomfortable about it- on the other.

Those crushes would pass eventually- although, some took a conscious effort to stop. I try to focus my crushes on fictional figures now, actors etc. It's far safer for my emotions. Limerence on real life people messed me up. Those crushes do just randomly appear and disappear though.
