Anyone else googled this website only to find it missing from Google?

Just to get acess I had to click on a link in my email. Usually I Google it and the website comes up. Although when I googled it no website came up?

The same happened to me. I hadn't been on in a few days, and missed the message that the address was changing. I completely panicked the other day when the old website wouldn't load, and didn't show up on Google.

I tried googling it right now to see but nothing, it only showed on yahoo and that was .org domain not .net. I'm from EU where are you guys from. There is maybe some push behind the scenes against this website. First .org domain is down and now it's not showing in the search results. Twitter handle is still showing though so that's something. If this website goes down, then I'll have nobody to talk too, I'll feel even worse dammit.

Same. I was so relieved when I realized the site was still here.

I'm in the US. It wouldn't surprise me if Google is pushing against the website.

Google Canada actively (or maybe automatically) drops the rank of this website. When the NY Times article came out, it was impossible to get this site listed on Google. Even using the

site:sanctioned-suicide.net

query didn't show any results (that's before org domain was taken down).

People don't realize just how heavy-handed these big tech companies are. They can more or less wipe you from the internet if your content is not up to their standards.

I'm surprised SS still gets this many visits what with how aggressively it's been de-prioritized in the search results. I guess media attention and word of mouth are both pretty effective.

It's for the best if goodle is not listing SS in 1st pages of its search.
Don't you guys who google sensitive stuff like SS get offensive advertisements trying to sell you medical stuff?
Why don't you stop using google already and search with duckduckgo?

DuckDuckGo also has issues. In general, the search results are worse than Google (although Google is pretty bad).
If you search "sanctioned suicide" on DuckDuckGo, the site won't come up.

The results are better with google because it knows who you are and what you need better than you do. But guess how it makes a ton of $ with that knowledge. I only resort to google if i cannot find stuff with duckduckgo

It took me a few days to find this site again because I'm bad at checking emails. It was completely gone on Google and DuckDuckGo. Made me really scared for a while.

It has dropped back to the third page of results, but I got it back onto the first page by entering "sanctioned suicide" discussion. It showed up with the .net instead of .org.

I just checked. On Goggle and DuckDuckGo the .net address shows up as the 2nd result. On yahoo, the .org address shows up as the first result, and the .net address shows up 2nd. The .org address no longer works. It says error server can't be found.

just use search engines as a tool to find what you want. you dont necessarily have to 'use' ddg or google or whatever search engine

I found it on the forth page of results using .net. It seems that this is due to the .org address not working.
