• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Overpriced rubbish. You can get what you need for much cheaper at welding supplies stores.

On top of that, with their big fat logo, everyone knows you are going to CTB

As mofreeko said, you may as well just buy from a welding supply store (for half the price)

Because this is literally the last thing I'm doing in my life, I felt okay about spending a dumb amount of money on it. It's plug-n-play, there's zero guesswork, and the PPeH provides a step-by-step illustrated guide on how to use it.

I get what you're saying, but you're literally just paying for the max dog label stuck onto standard equipment. I also like the idea of being able to buy everything in one go - gas tank full of gas, regulator/flow meter, tubing all from one shop (ie welding supply store).

I guess it's pretty convenient buying it from there because you know that the regulator is compatible and the tubing fits.

@Jen Erik Did you have to prove your age or anything? I'm not sure I'd be able to order it even if I saved the money...

@Jen Erik Their website mentions that the customer is responsible for paying taxes and duties upon delivery. Do you remember how much these fees were?

I live in the U.S., and there were no taxes or duties due, so I didn't pay anything more than the sale price.

I received my Max Dog regulator today. Only took 11 days to arrive. It was shipped 7 days after I placed the order, and transit time to the US was 4 days. After they sent the tracking number, I went on the website and chose to have it held for pickup at a local DHL facility. There was also an option to have them deliver it without a signature, but I didn't want anyone I live with getting curious about what "Max Dog Brewing" is. As @Jen Erik said, there were no taxes or duties I had to pay. No age verification either.

I know there are cheaper regulators and flow meters out there, but $330 seems like a small price to pay for avoiding potential brain damage. Whatever profit they make is going to a good cause. I'm sure the floating ball type flow meters will also work, but I have more peace of mind using this. I did try purchasing a click-style CGA-580 regulator manufactured by the same company, but all the distributors required a medical license or proof that you are a brewmaster.

There was some discussion a while ago about those other regulators and how they compare, if you're interested.

I have OCD so when I peeled away that sticker, my mind flipped out for a bit.

Thanks. I have all the materials needed to make the bag. I just need to purchase a cylinder. There is a supplier near me which sells filled 40 cf cylinders for $125. I'm not planning to CTB until October though, so I'll probably wait a bit to buy that.
