Any other misunderstood websites besides SS?

As most of you probably know, many news sites misreport SS as a horrible, sadistic pro-death forum. In reality its anything but that.

Just out of curiosity, are there any other forums or communities that news sites consider evil and horrible, but are actually good? Could be about anything, not just suicide

Interesting question. Personally, I wonder how Reddit has such a good reputation. There are subreddits like watch people die.
But the Media covers Reddit in a positive light.

I am not very knowledgable about questionable Websites. There are some streaming websites which ruin the industry but give poor people a chance to consume media.

There are also websites that help to bypass Paywalls. Like 12ft.

I'd say kiwifarms cause they have receipts for a lot of shitty people who are active online and have done horrible things like child abuse or worse. Yeah they may be offensive to some and have edgelords but where else would this stuff be archieved

Kiwifarms is a good septic tank. As long as its sealed tight and doesn't spill out into other parts of the Internet, I don't have much of an issue with it. I can see why some of the people they target would want to take it down, though. The stuff about trans women there is just straight up sadistic, I don't know how anyone could see that and not recoil.
