If you survived a suicide attempt with opioids how much did you take and how painful was it.

I'm wondering this as well. People have accidentally died from one 30mg Percocet with alcohol (Derek Boogaard for example). On here many have said you need 1000s of mg with a mix of other drugs. Can getting wasted on alcohol with a few roxi do the trick?

Derek Boogard definitely took more than 30mg. I'm just guessing but I'd say he had more around 90-100mg. If not more. He must have had a slight tolerance, and I don't think he was opioid naive. But anyways, with 100mg oxy and a good amount of alcohol, it should be easy to drift off and never come back. I once took 40mg and passed out in pure warm bliss.

This is a highly unsuccessful method with a lot of variables. Not so much pain as discomfort from stomach pumping and recovery in the hospital. Personally, there are better ways to do it.

Opioids alone typically are very ineffective. For a good chance at success, they must be used in conjunction with high doses of other nervous system depressants, like benzodiazepines, barbiturates (like N), and alcohol.

That would be over 15g of acetaminophen. Would the opioiods kill you before the acetaminophen took effect?

Media tries to present opiate pills as an easy way to accidentally die but doesn't seem to be reality unfortunately - just creating hysteria to scare people. Injecting heroin even less so bc impure. Most ods are from fent.

I have 60mg of hydrocodone and 770mg of codeine but it adds up to 14g of acetaminophen. Some people say the opioids would knock you out killing you in your sleep before the acetaminophen takes effect.

I certainly was out for many hours. Opiates are wonderful pain relievers - especially if you don't have any tolerance. With enough I am sure you would sleep though or at least be eased through more painful methods of suicide.

Do you think I have enough to put me to sleep and never wake up if i add benzo's and alcohol? Or is the benzos and alcohol overkill?

No you would definitely need the benzos and alcohol. And probably and anti-emetic like meto.

... I am going to say no. But there is always a slim chance that you are one of those people who is very sensitive to opiates... like you hear on the new all the time. Some kid takes 10 mg and dies. But honestly- you will probably wake up like me. Sad and alive. I think my case is a little weird. I believe that most people will die if they take 250 mg but ... 60mg is a bit of a gray area. Keep saving up those pills. Do you maybe have heart meds or antidepressants to add?
Also don't for get you anti- emetics and yes always add benzos...

I wish i could keep saving pills up but i only got the 60mg of hydrocodone and 770mg of codeine because of surgeries but those are over. Been holding on to these almost all year. I should be getting some benzos soon maybe because i have a 1st time appointment with a psychiatrist on the 17th.

I drank (when i was opioid naive) drank about 70mls of morphine.- at 10mg/5mls.
I thought I was having a heart attack... it was a strange feeling. My heart was racing racing and thudding and slowing then speeding up etc and I at one point (despite being absolutely intent) called an ambulance on myself fearing was about to die. I was passing out and coming around .. and then i just passed out for about 7 hours so not very long. It slowed my breathing down, i will try explain it but it was as though i had to force my body, to remember to breathe. You know how we need no conscious thought for every breath we take? well od on morphine it was like i had to force each breath and focus hard on doing that.

I also od'd on tramadol... i dont remember that. unconscious
then I od'd on codeine, felt similar to morphine od. I think i took 4 strips of them (24?? i haven't a clue) at 30mg each. Felt terrible but recovered somehow.
