Discussion Any Christians out there that have gone to 'Alpha'?

I got invited to 'Alpha' this Sunday by a guy I met gaming online.

Apparently It's a pretty widely used meet-up across all countries. There's 3 starting in my city in the next few weeks.

Seems like it might be a good way to meet new people. I'm personally pretty lonely. I can't endorse it yet, but I'm going, and there's going to be food and possibly a little Jesus.

Never heard of it, but go for it I'd say. Bad christian here so I'm miles away from that sort of event. I'm pretty sure the only people who go to such things have legit gone through some bad times and found great hope in the faith, so try to be as open as possible and talk to people and maybe you'll find something inspiring.

There's one meeting in a city near me, I don't go as I'm currently on the fence with religion due to my upbringing but I know nice people who do go and they are just ordinary decent people. And they bake nice things.
