Sorry if you've seen me saying this stuff before. I know I've been saying it a lot, but I can't calm down. I'm distressed about it constantly, I thought maybe more people could see if I made a new thread.

I don't know what GI issues I have exactly, only thing I was diagnosed with was stomach polyps, which seems to imply a damaged stomach lining/gastritis, which is concerning. As a complete guess, I'd say that I at least have IBS and constipation(noisy gut and gas) and maybe mild acid reflux(no burning, just feels like stuff seeps up my throat sometimes, but it doesn't make it into my mouth). Complete lack of appetite too. Most importantly, I feel like I can't absorb stuff correctly. For example, cold medicine and sedatives seem to take a long time to work if they work at all. I was still up for hours after taking Trazodone. When I did a barium swallow, I think it took until the third time they called me in for the x-ray for the barium to digest. And when I took 5mg of meto, it took about a week for the side effects I got to go away. Does that sound like a normal amount of time, or is it sign that stuff is staying in my system for too long? Isn't its half life only a few hours?

This is already a last resort method for me, I don't know what to do. I'm constantly on the verge of tears about failing. If it causes pain I'll try my best to tolerate it, I just want it to work...

If you drink a powerful poison like sodium nitrite it will kill you unless you go to the hospital possibly. I seriously doubt you are immune to it.
I know you're just guessing, but it's reassuring to hear someone say that. I know I'm gonna have to take a leap of faith on this.

The unfortunate reality is that we are all going to just be speculating on this topic, but it is also extremely likely that having gastrointestinal problems are not going to make you immune to poison. Even if it passes through your stomach it will go into your small intestine and be absorbed through the small intestine. There is a potential it wouldn't work as fast since it would need to go into the intestine, but just using meto would make that moot.

But won't it lose effectiveness if it's absorbed too slowly? I'll take meto despite the side effects it may bring, but I could absorb meto too slowly too.

No, it really shouldn't. Personally I would have a second or even third glass ready, but I would do that regardless just because of vomiting or potentially waking up.

I've read that people die after about two or three hours sometimes. I've only read of two like that. If you survive the usual dose without going to the hospital it would be a first as far as I know. You would be considered super human.

Stan says it could take up to 4 hours to die. What's the longest you think it'd take for someone to pass out? I can't even pass out on sedatives.

I don't know but if you are so worried about it and nothing anyone says eases your mind maybe stop considering it? If it gives you this kind of anxiety maybe you should give up on it.

Are you the same person who posts other threads on this subject? It's becoming clear you want someone to talk you out of it. Don't do it. Don't take SN. I don't want you to, please don't.

Like I said in the OP, I know I talked about this stuff a lot. I'm really sorry, I'm even annoying myself with it. But of course I can't just stop considering it.

I promise that's not what I'm looking for. I want to die. I want people to assure me that SN will work.

Idk anyone can assure you for definite it will work, because you say your body works differently. Enough SN should kill someone regardless of their bodily quirks, but it might not be quick or painless. Like Meditation Guide suggested, maybe you should consider another method...

As I said, this is already like a last resort for me. The only other thing I can really do is hanging. Which I'm looking into, but I'm very incompetent.

Your stomach has nothing to do with SN absorption, nor does IBS, which primarily effects your large intestine. SN is stable in a mildly basic environment (e.g. your small intestine). The meto will get it there. Your blood physiology is not unique from every other human; in other words, it will effect you the same as everyone else. Your experience with trazodone is the same as many. In other words, it is more of an over expectation than the medicine not working. While it helps many sleep, it is extremely mild on the sedation scale compared to most other things.

want to know if SN works for you? Dissolve some in very little water. Prick your finger, and drop a few drops on a flat surface. Add a drop of the SN solution. Your blood will turn brown, like everyone else's.

I remember you said in a previous thread that your body would be able to cope with it if it's absorbed too slowly. Do you still think that?

That's good to know. But I have the same experience with melatonin and diphenhydramine, just OTC stuff though.

Again, these are incredibly mild on the sedation scale. You can know with absolute certainty that SN works for you.

I have Crohn's and worry about how SN will absorb in me too. But it's poison and if held down will do the job. I personally don't care if it causes extra pain or whatever as long as it kills me. But I understand your concerns.
