So I'm planning my exit for February and have been pretty set on the SN method.

While I know antiemetics are not essential in order to successfully ctb with the SN method, I'm a tad worried that I may feel the nausea and vom.

Im currently on Levetiracetam for my epilepsy which, according to the drug interaction tracker that Stan recommended, will possibly increase the nausea and dizziness when interacting with antiemetics. (No interaction between the Levetiracetam and SN luckily)

So my question is simple, are there any alternatives or am I going to have to tough it out with a second, and possibly, third glass in case I vom?

Edit: Clarified increased nausea would be by interaction with epilepsy meds and antiemetics. Not by the levetiracetam on it's own

Sorry to hear you're leaving soon, but it is your decision :heart:

Domperidone does not seem to interact with Levetiracetam; it also does not cross BBB and has very low EPS risk. But please double check that .

Try a dopamine blocker, they are used widely along antiseizure medication. One of the ones on Stan list. Like metoclopramide, olanzapine, etc.

Not all dopamine blockers are suitable. The ones that give hi eps like typical antipsychotics should be avoided. Atypicals like olanzapine should be ok. Ive seen that combination inside the ward. I had an epileptic friend who was given olanzapine along his other meds. One should avoid haldol, risperidone and try olanzapine or quetiapine.
The variable there is called receptor occupancy. The pines like olanzapine and quetiapine have a lower receptor occupancy, so thats good. Dones have a higher occupancy so not that good in terms of eps. Haldol is the strongest so avoid.
