First of all, hello everyone! First post here.
I looked on google on informations on better methods after a certain failed third attempt and found this website, how I wish I knew any of this a while ago, would have saved a lot of suffering...
Anyway, I tried to CTB a couple days ago with partial hanging using a bed sheet since getting a rope is difficult to me for many reasons, and I hear it leaves marks and is even more painful.
I attached it to a steel pullup bar and tested if it could handle by weight by pulling up over it and it seemed just fine for about a minute, though it stretched a little on the first couple seconds, so I think it's okay on that part since it seemed very firm.
When it came to actually doing it I couldn't handle more than 8-10 seconds leaning in; once my vision started going static and my ears buzzing, my body seemingly took control multiple times. The last "attempt" had me going really dizzy and almost falling over, my vision going black for a second. Would I have succeeded in passing out if I kept at it?
I'm not really able to practice this since I rely on my arms and letting my body relax to lean, which is not possible if I held the other end of my makeshift rope. Plus, it hurt my neck and I was for quite a lot of pain for hours later, though it has since improved.
Thanks everyone for your help.
