• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Ive been suggested other things but they just feel mild, they dont have an impact on me as self harm does. The pain, the blood, the intensity.. so i feel that normal grounding techniques that they usually suggest dont work.
I no longer have any access to blades, and frankly i just cant be fucking bothered to put in more effort in getting one.

So, is there any alternative to self harm which has the same intensity? or if anyone successfully quit self harm, how'd you do it? I'm not dead set on quitting, but I dont have the option to cut myself right now either way, so ill just try a healthy alternative.

Maybe if it works, i dont have to go back to self harm, but who knows. Its been more than 5 years since ive been self harming… or something, not like i was counting. Point being, im not really expecting myself to be able to quit now, but if this helps me actually quit then thats great i guess

This will probably sound kind of silly, but what about exercise? Like, sometimes running or doing push-ups or whatever so hard that it hurts can be grounding.

I do this sometimes actually, lol. I still appreciate the input though

Thing is, it won't work if I'm distressed at night and can't make much sound, go outside, and don't wanna sweat because I will want to lay in my bed

Maybe shock, like taser its quick and doesn't leave disturbing marks. I've been wanting a taser for the longest but I have to go out of my way to get it. 😔 I think since the pain units are high and it's quick it'll knock me out of loop think or stress instead of going for a quick dopamine hit like doom scrolling I was think maybe the pain would snap me out of it. Temporary subdue the stress and ground me. Less effort too when I used the blade I had to cut multiple times in the same spot so the pain will linger but it was a process. Then you got some nosy ass people who don't know how to mind thier business always with an opinion about my marks like F off.
A taser where you can control the shock volume. The pain forces one to live in the present. Sadness of the past prevents one from living in the moment and also so does the anxiety of the future. The present is all we really can control or at least act upon it since the consciousness follows the stream of time. I think maybe pain is the antidote for that stuckness. Or at least until I get out of this rut to where I can live my life because if not I will die. The desire will grow to the point where it's unbearable
