Advise on SN

Is the SN you can get on a well known website the real deal? They are selling it to salt meat. Also, can SN be diluted with water and something like cordial? I can't stand the taste of salt. I'm not in any rush to CTB. I just need to make informed decision.

Most likely not. It's often nitrate rather than nitrite on popular websites. Or, it's mixed in with other preservatives in low quantities. Even when I began looking seriously over a year ago, you had to have a business address to purchase it in the UK and they've stamped down even harder now.

Supppsedly, it's not advised to mix it with things like juice or cola because the acids in them start turning the nitrite into nitrate- which is presumably less effective.
