As the title says. So heres the thing, i dont have anyone to go to for help SO.. i finally have an appointment and i am going to ask the dr for fentanyl. Ive wanted to do this for a long time but im tired of "beating around the bush" or whatever. I feel like im always delaying the inevitable. Anyways im kinda nervous because i dont have the best social skills so thats why im posting this. I could use some advice or tips on how to bring it up without it being awkward.
For a quick background i have been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, adhd, and autism. Idk if that helps. PLease give me serious replies only.
Thank you to anyone who helps

I mean good luck, they probably won't prescribe fentanyl unless you're in severe pain, like with cancer or something..
I mean you could try it but they're probably not going to prescribe it unless you have severe pain from cancer or some other kind of chronic illness..

Hmm ok well thanks for replying, would getting opioids be possible then? Im just not sure how to bring it up. I have only ever been prescribed depression meds and i fucking hate them. I want to be prescribed something i choose.

Yea, fentanyl is usually only prescribed to cancer patients as far as I know. You can get opiods from the DN but you probably have to know how to shoot up as the sublingual forms are hard to find on there, unless you live in the right country..

Asking for a controlled substance like that is pretty much just going to make you look like a drug seeker. I doubt it'll work. Fentanyl isn't just prescribed because you want it, and the majority of doctors will prescribe alternatives to opioids whenever possible.

None of your diagnoses would warrant an opiate prescription, it seems like if you're set on an opioid OD you won't find any through legal sources. Have you considered other methods?

A drug seeker or, more likely, a very clear suicide risk based on their depression history and sudden request for a non-indicated, potentially lethal opiod :I

Or that. Maybe depends on location. We have a big fentanyl problem, lots of addicts who troll the hospitals and stuff.

While I had cancer, I was given a script for Ativan for anxiety. It worked very well, I took it responsibly, and I was on it for several years. Then one day, my refills ended, so I went and asked for it. Despite my psychiatric history, I was treated like I was just wanting to get high and refused a new script. That's where their minds go in my area at least, not suicide. I'm not sure which is worse.

If your not in physical pain, asking for a potent anesthetic opioid is like asking for cocaine (both CII Rx only drugs in us). You will Immediately be labeled as drug-seeking. Fentanyl is also reserved for institutional use, or for people who can't tolerate other opiates or have not gotten adequate relief from say morphine or hydromorphone.

you can't be prescribed fentanyl unless it's in very severe cases and it's likely to be monitored, if you're depressed and go and ask for fentanyl you won't get it and it's likely you'll raise alarm bells. A family member was given fentanyl but they were in hospital and had a spinal tumour. They don't just give it out.

The best bet is to order F on the darknet. The other closest thing is H. It's less potent but it will do the trick with a proper dose

This will be termed "drug seeking behavior" in your medical record. I understand the need, but don't recommend the approach.

The black market is your most likely source of either. Since the opioid crisis has been underway, doctors are much more monitored and restrictive in their prescribing of narcotics in general.

Hey there, Im sorry but i can see no reason from what you have said why a Dr would prescribe such a powerfull opiate to you. There is nothing with your various different diagnosis that would qualify treatment with fentanyl, in any regard, opiates arent prescribed for Mental Health conditions. Fentanyl is typically only ever dispensed for severe pain, most typically associated with cancer. Even people that suffer chronic pain (non cancer pain) will most likely not be prescribed fentanyl. What reason were you thinking you would say to you Dr as to why you think they should prescribe you Fentanyl?
