Not sure how people ctb mixing chemicals.
Cleaning a little bathroom.. bleach wasn't working so I sprayed CLR on it.... Omg.
Eyes watered extensively.. completely cleared my sinuses and now a hella headache.

Bleach and ammonia or a few other compounds can kill you. Not one of those fall asleep peacefully deaths, but the hacking and gaging and struggling for breath kind of deaths.

There's a reason it's too cruel for war

Yep. Bleach and ammonia mixed is pretty nasty stuff. There's a reason on the bottle it says do not use with other cleaners/ammonia. What you made was chlorine gas. Chlorine gas has an obvious chlorine smell that is pretty pungent. If I remember correctly humans can smell chlorine gas at less than 1 ppm. It's somewhere around 0.2 ppm or 0.3 ppm. Mustard gas, also called sulfur mustard has what people have described as a rotting mustard and garlic and onion smell. Neither one is a good way to ctb. Super painful. Sulfur mustard causes painful lesions to form in your lungs and also heavily irritates any mucous membranes it contacts. So mouth, nose, eyes and even though it's not technically a mucous membrane, the skin. These things work by inhibing acetylcholinesterase which is an enzyme used to break down acetylcholine, or ACh. Basically, your muscles don't get the signal to stop so they spiral out of control. Eventually it affects your lungs and it's good night time. There are antidotes, like atropine, but not easy to get a hold of as a civilian.

Best wishes.
