I'm trying to be as calm as possible. If you all have read my posts you know that I traveled 1600 miles to work for a law firm (Morgan and Morgan). Due to my disabilities I was unable tp learn the way they wanted me to and I asked for assistance. I got none. They denied my ADA twice. They fired me on 3/6/2024. Now they refuse to pay me for work that was performed. I've had enough more than enough from these assholes. Just because they're a huge firm they believe they can fuck with people's lives. I have zero no money I was counting on this paycheck to pay my bills. Now I have nothing. I am not going to be able to control my anger.
I have an idea for quick money. Its a out of box idea, but could work as temporary solution, during emergency scenarios. I've done this successfully before, while I already stopped working at my job
You can apply for multiple Payday Loans. As long as they see you were recently employed for 6 months, a couple recent payments from them, and a bank account, they will loan you a percentage of your bi-weekly or monthly salary. Since you were just fired couple days ago, on your bank records, it will still appear as you were paid very recently, which should be good enough. Just pretend you're still employed. If anything, can also act like you just came back from your 2 week holiday/ vacation, thats why there wasn't a new payment yet for recent weeks
Here's the trick. Some of them don't call employers directly. They key is to find out which ones, and then target those ones specifically. Would take maybe a few hours, to Google 10, 20, or more different Payday Loan places (there should be A LOT in the U.S). Some offer services nationwide, and can even do the entire process completely online (from application to receiving direct deposit to your bank).
Make a list, call them one by one, do a quick casual inquiry, and also ask if they will call employer to verify. Can just say the reason you're asking is because don't want it to seem weird, that your employer will be bothered by this call. They hear this from customers a lot, so its a common question
Then shortlist the ones that won't, and apply with them. If you contact 20-30 places, and even just 5 of them don't call to verify, then you could already get a fair amount of money quickly if you can get a loan from 5 of them on the same day/ week. I believe the Payday Loan places are different from banks, so they won't be able to tell you're applying at multiple places at once
This will buy you extra time, to try looking for more jobs, maybe pay some partial rent, so at least won't be evicted, and see if can at least temporarily turn things around. Worst comes to worst, you can just keep delaying those loan payments, but there will be high interest accumulated
But this is also time sensitive. Because you want those recent employment/ payment records on your bank to still be fresh, in order to be approved easier. So will need to make the decision soon. All the best!
