I just saw this sentence with no further info on a social media site.
It got me thinking, if people are so quick to take a life before it's even born with no thought to how it's future may turn out, what is wrong with that life taking their own when they are older, with their own mindset and choices and not coping?
I know there are many on here who are anti parents, who also believe children shouldn't be created, but please this thread isn't for That.

To my mind it's hypocritical. Either you are pro-choice or anti-choice. You shouldn't be able to pick and choose which things you're pro choice on and which things your anti-choice on. Either you believe a person has a right to a choice or else you don't. Period. Anything else makes you a hypocrite.

I feel for you. I was born before abortion was legal and my mother was very religious so she never would've aborted me anyway. I was born very prematurely and very sick. I spent the first couple of months of my life in an incubator and the doctors assured my family that I was 100% going to die. They advised them all to go home and forget about me. However, my mother and one of my sisters refused to let me die and they stayed next to me the entire time I was in the hospital. I'm sure my mother, being religious, probably prayed for my life to be saved. The entire time, she had cancer and was dying from it. She would later choose not to get treatment for her cancer, but instead to allow herself to die. I've been angry at her ever since she did that. Why the hell did she force me to live, only to choose to let herself die! That is so messed up!

I agree with @BlueWidow and yes, it is indeed hypocritical, especially when they allow one particular kind of choice (the choice to decide whether another being is conceived or not), but deny the other (the choice of an sentient individual to decide whether to continue living or die).

Lol! My mom aborted her first then it was me and I wish I was aborted too. My life has been a real shitshow. I would only want to have been born if we have no governments anywhere and everybody is free. Then maybe, but not under this socialist slavery system.

I'm glad someone brought this up because it's been on my mind for a while. They (besides the fundamentalists) for the most part agree with abortion but completely against euthanasia. They remind me of some Christians, they cherry pick what they like and ignore the rest. In this case they see fetuses as non human but good for resources. Grown adults however can't be given the same type of service, because you can't get paid off of a corpse after organ harvesting and funeral/cremation services. So in my mind, society fights for society. That means that they need people to leech off of. Even if that person is brain dead, people need that person to use, either as a trophy or for medical bills.

Anti-suicide but pro-abortion people don't have a leg to stand on because they want 2 diametrically opposed things. You can't be pro-choice and pro-life, but most people want things both ways. I would love to see someone try to defend that position because it makes no sense to me.

Yeah, my state's legislature is looking to crack down on guns really hard. Inert gas is my method of choice, but still, it really sucks.

Personally I have same views as you do, I dont agree with abortion as its noones fault they are conceived, yet if someone wishes to take their own life for whatever reason if things get so bad, then I feel we should have the right. So I think you can be pro and anti choice, as with most things in life nothing is black and white.
